Remove ZWave Switch from Vera

I have a Jasco switch I added to Vera. I now want to remove it. (I tried to get my GE 45600 remote to work but it is complete junk).

I delete the Jasco switch with the trash bin and Vera reloads, but the switch keeps on coming back.

Any ideas?

You need to exclude the Zwave device. You can not use the trash icon. I’m currently mobile, but search the forum for exclude.

in UI5 goto devices > add device > Advanced Z-Wave devices > then bottom of the page and set include to exclude and press GO > remove the device by using its exclusion button

Not sure if there’s an easier/faster way but you can go to:

Devices > Add Devices > “Add ZWave devices, like light switches, door locks, thermostats, etc.” > Option 1 > “I’m activating the device, but it’s not adding to the list” >

then press the include button on your Jasco switch (just press the switch button) and it should exclude.

Edit: Ah, Da_JoJo beat me to it and has a bit of a faster way.

Huh? That must be a VeraLite or Vera3 option, as I don’t have that in my Vera2.

I’ll chime in that the fastest way to exclude a device is to use the Z-wave button on the back - long press to put it in exclude mode.

Hm, interesting. I have a VeraLite and had no idea this was specific to that model.
