red wheel icon ZRP230

Hi,

I’ve got a red icon on the HomePro ZRP230. when i float the mouse over it I either have

job failed:

Or

Job failed: Job was aborted: Failed to get manufacturer

The device seems to work though, at least the on/off functions work on the control page.

I tried having a look at the log in the advanced options, but when selecting the device (or any log item for that matter) I get the following message:

Error reading from log. Click here to try again.

Any help appreciated.

Regards,

Tj

I have the same on all my ACT devices and I think this is because they don’t report back to Vera what Vera expects.
If I am not wrong they don’t report “manufacturer” back.
Mine works pretty well anyhow.

No the ACT’s do report manufacturer.

I was getting inconsistent polling from my leviton dimmers. After going nowhere with it, (resetting the switches, the network, vera, moving things around, pulling out half my hair) I placed a support call to micasaverde and a tech said it appeared like I was having dongle issues. They’ve sent me a new dongle but I haven’t had time to try it yet (in the middle of a complete home rewire… 2 rooms done!)
But the quick diagnosis was nice and they got a new dongle out to me a week later. The tools and knowledge they had available was very welcome. I just hope this fixes the issue.

So, your ACT’s show a green wheel?

Yes…

Firmware 456 has this bug/feature fixed, so it won’t show red wheel on devices not reporting manufacturer info.

I’m currently on Running Version : 1.0.426

Just plugged in and linked a 2nd ACT HomePro ZRP230 and i have the same issue with that one.

It does report #294 Manufacturer Desc: Zensys

Any idea’s?

If I compare two ACT devices, one with green wheel and one with red wheel the information in Devices->More->Advanced differs a bit.
It is not just the actual values that differs, but there are also a different number of fields under Device data.
For example there is a field “#36 Neighbors to Call” which only exists under the red wheel one. The two devices are of the same model.

Here is the data for the red wheel device:

IPaddress MACaddress IgnoreOnOff 0 State_NonTemporary ON/100 Status Disabled 0 State FAILED <POWER=ON> <LEVEL=100> Device data #12 Port/Channel Number 6 #36 Neighbors to Call #59 Configuration #162 Only One Per PC #233 Model #234 LastUpdate #285 Wattage 100 #287 Variables Set 1,m, #283 Polling Settings #207 Capabilities 201,4,0,3,16,0|37,39,117, #294 Manufacturer Desc Zensys #295 Model Desc #296 Multi Channel End Point #297 Multi Channel Capabilities #286 Energy Log 100,100,100,1232962200,1 New device data ID New device data value

The green wheel device:

IPaddress MACaddress IgnoreOnOff 0 State_NonTemporary ON/100 Status Disabled 0 State FAILED Device data #12 Port/Channel Number 15 #162 Only One Per PC #285 Wattage 100 #283 Polling Settings #207 Capabilities 201,4,0,3,16,0|37,39,117, #294 Manufacturer Desc Zensys #295 Model Desc #296 Multi Channel End Point #297 Multi Channel Capabilities #234 LastUpdate 1232948042 #286 Energy Log 100,100,100,1232962200,1 New device data ID New device data value

We just finished a new firmware. Look for it in a day or two. This is fixed.
