I just recieved my kwikset deadbolt and I must say I love it! The only issue I have is that my notifications are coming to me a day later. (via text) I noticed that its set to poll every 10k seconds, could this be the reason? I haven’t messed with the advanced settings because I’m not too tech savy and don’t want to cause it to malfunction. I’m running an up to date Vera 3.
10K Seconds is roughly 7 days … so I would look else where.
When you lock/unlock, the status change should be instantly communicated to Vera. The poll time shouldn’t affect this. Shortening the default 10800 seconds (3 hours), will increase battery drain.
Are your notifications still slow to come in?
