random locking of schlage locks

Hi all,

I am getting random locking of my Schlage locks. They run the lock and unlock schedule flawlessly,unlocking in the morning and locking three times in the evening. I have two doors by public parking,within 8 feet,it seems like every time I hear the horn beep from someone locking their car with the remote I check and my doors are locked.Is this possible? I know the manual says there can be some interference from baby monitors, but car remotes? Any thoughts? I only have these two locks on Vera so I don’t think I have any mystery events running. Thanks.

Just out of curiosity, you do not have them to autolock after being unlocked?

I don’t think I have any auto relock feature enabled. The two locks are about 30 feet apart ,and they run on the same timer.Open at 7:30 AM, lock at 6:30PM,8:00PM,10:00PM ,M-F all with no problems. But ,yes, if outside open hours and you enter with a PIN from the key pad they do relock after 5 seconds, but,no,if a PIN is entered when the lock is unlocked they don’t relock. The locking is random thru the day, but not at the same time on each lock.

I would go through all of your scenes to make sure nothing is causing the locks to lock.

Thanks Garrett,I just have a scene to open and close,period. Two locks are the total of my system,no switches,no outlets,nothing else,not even internet. I would sure like to hear someone say ,no way,not a chance there being locked by someones car fob. Thanks again, Byron

Is it an option to leave Vera powered down for a day (or so) and see what happens?

I don’t know what kind of traffic you have going through these doors but at home I’ve noticed that while using this lock from INSIDE going out it is way too easy for ones hand to bump the “lock” button on the inside inadvertently, I wish these buttons could be locked out

Tell me about it. When I visit my parents (they have the schlage lock on their front and garage entry door), sometimes I have to unlock the door as they hit the button by mistake and it locks.
