I’ve been looking around for how to get an alarm system to work with a home automation system.
My goal is to be able to get the PIR sensors from an alarm system to give an output (to Vera) which will then forward those PIR detection signals over to my Heat Genius system via IP.
So far as I understand, this is what the plugin is for. But as it’s going to cost me ~?1000 for all the component parts I want to make sure it will do what I understand.
So could someone please confirm:
- The plugin will allow me to setup multiple IF x AND y THEN z type commands that will respond to each of the ten sensors throughout the house individually
So I might then have programmes setup such that:
- If there is movement in the corridor, then tell the Heat Genius via IP or Z-Wave
- If there is movement in the corridor, and it’s night, then turn the lights on for 2 mins
- If there is movement in the living room, then tell the Heat Genius
There is no limit on how many sensors it will recognise? If I have the sensors connected to my Visonic, the plugin will know that they exist and what their status is?
