Ok I have several ACT ZDW120 switches that I need to set their on off profile differently. Currently, when you turn them on, the lights ramp up to full on. When you turn them off they dim down to off. I want to have them either on or off no dim/ramp. How do i do this in Vera?
I don’t think that is controllable over ZWave. It’s a switch “feature” that only Leviton provides a way to defeat that I know of. I guess that the vendors want to show off that their switches are dimmers.
Actually it is controllable by ZWave. The Cooper Handheld I have you can send parameters to such as the ramp time and the about of dim time. The ACT ZDW120 switches have this functionality and it’s outlined in the user manual.
It would be nice if Vera had this capability to set the parameters of the device.
Thanks for the update. I’ll get a Cooper controller. There is no mention of that feature on the docs with the switches. Do you know if the Cooper controller can change the settings of the ACT switches? This may be a vendor specific feature.
According to the Cooper documentation they can. I have not tried it yet cause I was looking to make the Cooper a secondary controller. I may have to resort to having the Cooper as primary and Vera as secondary.
We have a new firmware we’re testing right now, hopefully to be released this weekend, that also let’s you set all the config options in Vera without the need for another controller.
However, it’s been hard to find documentation. I created a wiki page as a stub where we can create a section for each Z-Wave device and list under that the variables and what they do:
