Is there a way of getting push notifications of defined events on Android?

You want to use the Vera Alerts on Android:

The Android app is loaded from the Google Play Store

The Vera Alerts plugin is loaded from the GetVera App store … Use the Apps → Install Apps on the Vera Dashboard.

I use both and they are great. Only thing I can’t get to work are notifications to the cat, he ignores everything

I hadnt realised this was a paid for app. ow much does it cost and what do you get for the money?

If you use Tasker, you can create your own notifications via push messages using AutoVera. AutoVera is a Tasker plugin that can trigger devices and scenes and plugins, as well as receive status updates. You can also find out information from your Vera and use them in Tasker scenes and variables. After installing the plugin on Vera, all configuration is done on your Android device. Messages are sent discretely and your phone will only act upon if programmed to do so with Tasker.
