Proper Way To Upgrade App

I have searched, but can’t seem to find the answer.

What is the correct way to upgrade an app? For example, I see that VeraAlerts has gone to version 3 and I have 2.2.

Should I just install the new one? Delete the old one first? Does this vary by app?

Thanks futzle, I had seen that. But I was looking for a more general answer or guidance for all apps.

I would then assume that you have to refer to the forum for each app?

That is general for all apps. You just change the Plugin ID to refer to the plugin that you want to update.

If you are outside of the Vera App Store, then yes, it depends on the plugin.
