Problems with Yale YRD110-ZW B1L Keyless Pushbutton Deadbolt

I’m receiving “Failed at: Setting user configuration” errors with a Yale YRD110 pushbutton deadbolt on my Vera 3. I’ve tried everything up to and including starting fresh with a new house ID and a factory reset. I’ve tried UI5 and UI7 and the same issues come up. The lock is controllable and PINs can be set, but the error above continues to display. My Vera is now inches away from the deadbolt and is the only enrolled device.

Everything was working fine with my two YRD220 touchscreen deadbolts so I suspect things have changed with the newer YRD110. There is no removable network module in the YRD110 and the internals look a lot different from the touchscreen/pushbutton Yale deadbolts.

Has anyone gotten this newer Yale deadbolt to work without errors?

I would try calling Yale support at 1-800-810-Wire. I work for ASSA ABLOY and these are the guys that support this lock. They might be able to help you through the issue if you haven’t fixed it already.

I am having the exact same issue. Anyone have any luck resolving? Love the lock, hate that I cant get it working with Vera

I, too, have this exact problem, though I am on Vera 2 with 1.5.622. I have done all the usual things (Vera within 3 feet, exclude, reset the lock, reboot the vera, include) and the symptoms are very consistent.

Note that the inclusion process succeeds. It also DOES configure the lock but fails at the very end complaining of failed at setting user configuration (though it DID set user codes).

What log files would be appropriate to send to anyone to help?

If it has some inconsistency with completing (confirming?) setting user configuration, is there a way to edit an xml file to prevent it from doing that at all?

I found that the new lock (110) doesn’t support language but the Yale config adds Variable 5 in Device Options for language.

Under Advanced, I hand edited VariablesSet to eliminate Variable 5. I know I could have edited zwave_products_sys.xml but that would have affected every Yale lock (including my 240 which does support language). I know I could then add in Variable 5 to the 240…

Bottom line: after including, edit VariablesSet in Advanced to eliminate Variable 5 the it will configure properly.
