Problem with VeraLite not powering up with batteries

hello,

i’m a total n00b with vera. just got my veralite. got it setup and wanted to get my devices paired.

i have a few leviton vizia rf+ dimmers.

i attempted to use the web gui to add the dimmers, no luck. so i thought i would unplug the vera and bring it closer to the switches. it appears that the vera does not power on using batteries. i’ve tried using a few fresh new batteries. anyone else run into this issue?

any suggestions other than rma would be appreciated! :stuck_out_tongue:

personally, I always prefer not to use the battery “feature”. Some workarounds:

  1. try full power inclusion: more info here http://docs5.mios.com/doc.php?language=1&manual=1&platform=3Lite&page=full_power_inclusion

  2. plug Vera near the dimmer and add it.

I believe you need to hit the battery icon on the Vera Lite unit when it is unplugged. It will not switch to batteries automatically when the unit is not plugged in. You can also try and use full power inclusion for the web interface.
