Problem in connecting Fibaro Roller Shutter

Hi all,

I have problems in connecting Fibaro Roller Shutter.
Attached you can find the setup of the switch which control the shadow.

The switch is the one below, with 3 wires attached, two brown and one black.
As you can see, from the hole above the switch I have for blue wires (neutral) which are joined together. I removed one and used as Neutral for the Fibaro Roller Shutter.

The shutter switch has the L at the bottom (there is an orange/red mark on the case). Than I expected that the other brown one gives the up command, and the second one gives the down command, but one of them (I do not remember which one) has live too.

How can I connect it?

And, why Neutral is available but is not used by switches?

Thanks
Marco

Only the lower one with the red mark should have Live, both upper one are for up and down. Neutral will be direkt on the shutter motor. To install a Fibaro Shutter module you will need a Neutral in your wall box.

Thanks for the answer.

Maybe I checked not well, I will do it again tomorrow.
I have Neutral available in the wall box, it is not connected to the switch but they are available.
You can see it in the first photo, 4 blue wires connected together, these are the Neutral. I can connect the required Neutral to that junction.

Bye,
Marco

Yes, connect a short wire for Neutral between the Fibaro and the 4 connected Neutral wires.

Perfect. That means that I could also install switch instead of dimmer as I have neutral available

I tried but without success.
Here the connection I have done. (see attachments)

What is missing, I think, (from the manual) is a N-wire between “wall” and switch…right?
But where shall I have to connect it on the switch?

Thanks
Marco

Missing is Live on the switch, just connect a sort Live wire to the lower plug-in (red marked) of the switch.

I am confused now…Live is connect to the Fibaro device, isn’t that enough?

Ehm…of course you are right, I misread the manual.

Sorry

Thanks a lot

Just a short question: the Live coming from the wall is going directly into the L of the Fibaro.
Can I put another L-wire between the Fibaro and the original switch?

I think yes…but just to be sure

This setup too does not work :frowning:

Now the L-plug of the switch is connected to a L-wire (temporary with a blue cable)

But unfortunately it does not work :frowning:

Help :frowning:

Edit: from the wall switch it is not working (do the “position/order” of S1/S2/O1/O2 have importance?)

If I send the open/close from the z-wave gateway I hear a “tick” in the Fibaro device, the LED will blink (fast) green and then red.
Where am I wrong?

Thanks a lot for your help.
Marco

Yes, you can…

It seems to me you have the switch connected to O1 and O2, which is wrong. Both upper wires Must go to S1 and S2. Btw, I would change the color of the wires from/to the switch with brown or black wires, because they are Live/switch-Live. O1 and O2 should be connected with the shutter motor wires.

It works…thanks a lot for the support

Now I have to play a little bit with parameters

Thanks a log again

Edit: if from the computer I close it, then to reopen it I have to press twice the switch on the wall to open it…why?
Is a configuration problem?

Thanks
Marco
