I have installed the DSC Alarm app in order to interface with my Honeywell 20P panel. I have installed an Envisalink 4 and it is operating properly. I am able to get all reporting and turn the alarm on an off from the web interface for the Envisalink.
I then when through the setup for UI7 on my Vera Plus. I followed these instructions: http://forum.micasaverde.com/index.php?topic=36222.0. The Alarm Interface was added and the device was added for me to put in the code and them to arm/disarm the system. I have verified that that Parameters and Variables required are entered. Here is a link to the screenshots on my setup in UI7 (Dropbox - File Deleted) I have verified that the password is correct.
There was a different topic on this issue, but after reading through the posts I did not see anything that applied to my situation. In short, the problem is that I can enter a code and then choose to arm/disarm the system and nothing happens.
I have looked on the direct interface for my Envisalink 4 (EVL-4) and the “Envislink TPI Status” says that it is offline. Envisalink support tells me that this means the third party app is not making a connection with the EVL-4.
Any suggestions on parameters I am missing or other steps that I need to try to get the connection to work?
Try putting the port number after the ip.
Example 192.168.1.111:4025.
Save settings
Go back in to advance then new services then click reload engine.
If it don’t work go back to home page for ver?
Settings then net&WiFi and reboot.
Lastly go to envialink and reboot. Not the Website
Type your envialink ip address with port 80
Example 192.168.1.111:80
It should prompt a user and password. Default is user (user) password (user). Then reboot envisalink.
Make sure your not logged in to envialink anywhere else. It only let’s one user control it. Hope this makes sense.
Dont change the TPI password. It will cause issues.
TPI status on mine shows. My ver? up address.
Btw port 4025 is the default port.
Recommended also making the ip static. On both ver? and envisalink.
Less issues in the future.
USE THE CORRECT PLUGIN!!!
The DSC Alarm plugin will NOT work with a HONEYWELL alarm panel!!
Ok. So which plugin should I use? I have tried the Honeywell with RS232 Interface, that app says it cannot find a port for the device.

Thanks. Are you using a Honeywell panel? Which app did you install in the Vera?
I found the Ademco plugin. I am good now.
