Hello, all.
I have really overloaded scene called “Come In” - it opens 8 roller shutters, switches several lights, switches on A/C. All this dependent on the time of the event (day come in skips lights, for example).
When I come in at an evening, I also switch on the light in the entrance hall - otherwise I do not see a thing.
But, the problem is that many times Vera start from opening shutters or A/C. And only afterwards - switches the hall light on. And all this time I stand and wait. This sometimes reaches 5-6 seconds, unpleasant seconds.
Is there any way to instruct Vera about the order of operations in a scene? About their priorities?
There is no concept of priorities. I think, though I have not verified that the scene’s actions are ordered by the way that they were added to the scene.
One way for you to be sure of the order would be to use delayed actions. For instance, when the scene runs it turns on the light, after a one second delay it then opens the shutters. This will always turn on the light first.
Stock scenes in VERA are very limited. When you out grow it’s capabilities the next step to look into it PLEG (Program Logic Event Generator) plugin. it cost around 6.00 but runs circles around the stock scenes and you end up not using the stock scenes at all.
