Prevent AC on when Door is open

I know there is info on this that I have seen before but I am having trouble finding it. I installed a door sensor and added the needed Luup code to turn off the AC when the door has been open for “x” minutes (and back on when the door is closed). I want to add additional code that will check the door sensor and prevent renters from turning the AC back on if the door sensor is tripped (when user changes HVAC mode from Off to anything else, check to ensure door sensor is not tripped. If it is tripped, keep HVAC off). Anyone able to give me the code or the URL to the old post that has the code that will do this?
