PowerLinc Modem 2412S to Vera3

Hello,

I’ve scanned through quite a few search results but have not been able to find an answer to my current situation.

I currently have an X10 setup and I’m in the process of converting to Z-Wave. So far, I have a Vera3 and 15 Leviton VRPD3-1LW lamp modules. In my X10 setup, I have a HomeRunner RBI connected to a PowerLinc Modem 2412S (v3.5 1027 if it matters). Currently, the 2412S connects to the serial interface on the HomeRunner via a standard RJ45 cable. The jack on the 2412S is not an Ethernet interface. It is an RJ45 jack that is just labeled “Interface Cable”.

So, my question is…what cable should I use to connect the 2412S to the Vera3? If such a beast doesn’t exist, I think I could take one of my APC UPS USB interface cables and hack something together. But…I will need to know what the pinouts on both ends. Help!

The pins are described at http://www.insteon.com/pdf/2413Sqs.pdf I believe they are the same for the 2412 and 2413.

Has anyone had success using this cable?

If not, what cable are others using to connect their PLM to the V3?
