Powerlight Flashing - Bricked? How to Recover? - FIXED

I upgraded to the latest version using the interface and now the power light just keeps flashing on and off again. From my understanding, this means that the flash is corrupted.

Here is the version that I downloaded:

http://download.mios.com/betafirmware/wl500gP_Luup_ui3-1.1.329-1.trx

I tried to follow the instructions here:

http://wiki.micasaverde.com/index.php/Firmware_Flash

“If Vera’s power light blinks consistently (not a double pulsing blink) within a few seconds of powering on, then Vera’s firmware has become corrupted. This can happen if Vera was unplugged while in the middle of performing a firmware update (“flash”). When it does, you will probably need to use a firmware restoration utility, which runs on Windows. Here is how to restore Vera’s firmware once it has become corrupted:”

However, flash_firmware.zip is no longer on the server. Can someone please help?

It looks like I may have answered my own question.

  1. I went here:

http://support.asus.com/download/download.aspx?SLanguage=en-us&model=WL-500g

  1. Select Windows XP, download and install

  2. Under Utilities, I downloaded ’ Version 1.3.8.2’ → ‘ASUS WL-500g Deluxe wireless router utility program in English. Version 1.3.8.2’

  3. Configure your network adapter to 192.168.1.2 and connect into LAN1 of the WL-500g.

  4. Click Start → Programs → ASUS Utility → Wireless Router → Firmware Restoration

  5. Download the appropriate ‘trx’ image from the http://wiki.micasaverde.com/index.php/Firmware_Flash wiki page

  6. Browse to the file with the Firmware Restoration utility and click Upload.

The system seems to have come back online and the power light is staying on. Perhaps someone can update the wiki as well? http://wiki.micasaverde.com/index.php/Firmware_Flash

Thanks!
