I have a GE 2-wire dimmer switch that turns on and off lights in the basement. I’ve got it up and running on Vera and things seem to work well. However, the dimmer aspect of it drives my wife crazy, she just wants on/off at the switch. I know on/off can be a scene function where the lights come up to full power right away, but that requires a separate scene controller or remote. With other switches, I’ve been able to reverse how the LED works so that the LED is off when the light is off.
Does anyone know of a way that I can program the switch through vera to be just an on/off switch when operated manually?
I’d be willing to replace the switch with a simple on/off 2-wire z-wave switch, but I can’t find any. What I’ve found online requires a 3rd neutral wire.
The goal to make both my wife and I happy is “traditional” operation at the switch (on/off) and z-wave control.
