Does Vera allow you to poll it over Ethernet to get the last known device status for a particular device? Are there any listening sockets or known protocols to accomplish this, or is this not supported without writing a listener/app of some sort?

I’m looking to do something very lightweight, my wife seems to have issues with the Vera deployment regardless of what application we use on the tablet, she just wants to have a quick webpage where she can get a glimpse of the temp and status of windows in each room (using the DSC alarm we have integrated as well as a series of climate sensors). Figured I might just save myself the aggravation, write something quick that could poll the status of all the devices in question and dump them to web page.

Whats wrong with using an app like Imperihome or Authomation to view window status on a tablet? What am I missing?
