Poll of devices vs switching

I have tested Vera with some ZRP200 and they seem to work together, but I see one thing that puzzles me a bit.
If I place the ZRP200 close to Vera I can poll it and switch it from the dashboard, but if I move the ZRP200 a bit further away the polling fails while the switching still seems to work.
What is the reason for this?

the ZRP is not meant to be moved when included in a network. Exclude it, move it and include it again.

I see, thanks
To exclude it from the network I would use the “Delete device” button on the device menu, or?
The reason for Vera being able to detect that something has changed is it because the old routing path no longer will work for that device?

i don’t know how the vera zwave driver exactly works, but the protocol will store the neighbor of a node at inclusion. There are z-wave commands to rebuild those neighbor lists, but I got best results with remove and readd.

Actually Vera should rebuild the mesh network every 24 hours, so even if you move it, within a day it should be good as before. This is a low-level z-wave issue. If you go to advanced, logging, enable verbose logging, click save, wait several minutes for it to poll, then go to advanced, tech spport and submit a trouble report with logs we’ll be able to see the low-level z-wave traffic. You’ll get a report ID you can post in this thread along with the node id adn I’ll look into it.

I don’t think there is a need for a bug report here. I was just moving around my device all the time to test coverage and never let Vera build up a neighbor list.
