Hi Javelin–

Can you identify other requirements you might have for the camera. For example:

 1. Do you want Pan and zoom?

 2. Indoor or outdoor?

 3. Do you need low light/night vision?

 4. Color or Black and white?

 Don

1 Indoor, 1 Outdoor Unit, Colour

Night vision would be a bonus, quality of image is highest priority.

PTZ not really needed

I have had good success with some of the Panasonic and FOSCAM cameras. Your could try:

or

Ended up with a Airvision Airdome camera, very happy with it so far. After adjusting it’s focus.

Hi Javelin

I’ve never heard of this brand. Can you post a link with the specs? Thanks

Don

Dont bother mate ended up being a dud. Losses connection frequently each week many other have problems and never recieved a firmware update from company. Pay for what you get I guess. Upgrading to $300 per camera now with some generic no names my friend found that are high def but actually work and don’t drop out.

I’d recommend these 720P cameras for $115. http://www.amazon.com/Dahua-Megapixel-Aptina-Bullet-Camera/dp/B008N234DW/

They can be powered over POE ethernet switch to provide power over the network cable.

PS - Upgrade to 1080p for only $55 more. http://www.amazon.com/Dahua-IPC-HFW4300S-Eco-Savvy-Weatherproof-Security/dp/B00H2VSTG2

Agile humor. We’re you able to get the dauha hfw4300s to work on the Vera 3? I am having no luck getting it to work do you have any suggestions?

Thanks in advance.

I have been using Hikvision cameras with my VeraLite with no issues at all. Easy to set up

Can you provide tips for the Hikvision? I cannot figure it out. Screenshots if possible?

Thanks, Roger
