Just got my 2DS up and running on my panel also ![]()
Did they publicly announce the api or is that still private beta? How is the 2DS?
- Garrett
Not sure, but I might add myself to the beta list anyway.
Control from their portal or locally is a bit basic, and lacks a bit of pizzazz⦠but its functional.
Its also a bit of struggle to have it coexisting in the panel box with an IT100 installed; this maybe just where I have my IT100 installed in top left corner, but it wont really fit below the IT100 due to its RS232 cable getting in the way, the bottom right wont work either as the board hits the box, and thereās an edge connector that might short; the only other option is the top right and depending what sort of network cable you have, it can be a pain to plug it in due to clearance⦠the first cable I tried was too inflexible.
On the plus, It has some nice bright flashy LEDs though ![]()
Hello Strangely,
Thank you and yes, that worked. I do agree both the remote and local portal are quite basic, but they are working. I just popped the other bit on the top right out of the can to run the cable through. I did not think the IT100 could co-exist on the keybus at the same time.
If the plugin is based largely on the IT100 one, then try ādisarmā in EnableRemoteArm.
All parameters:
disarm (Least secure as all functions are available including disarm)
stay (This will enable stay arming and away arming, but not disarm)
arm (Will only enable away mode arming)
The api is still private beta. They just recently released the first beta versions, so like any beta it will probably be a bit before it is stable enough for public release.
I agree with the other statements about the 2DS, and I like it.

I have a problem to configure my Envisalink 2DS on Vera Lite.
I followed the instructions on DSC IP100D
However, I put the IP address 192.168.1.193:80 that correspond to my Envisalink.
After the upload and create device steps, the DSCIP100D is created on the Device / Others tab.
I restarted Vera but I didnāt see any panel, partition and the 6 zones like you mention on the instructions ???
Also, there is no field in the advanced tab to set the username and passwordā¦
NEED HELP !!! ???
Check the Advanced tab and the device_type = urn:schemas-micasaverde-com:device:AlarmPanel:1
Try 192.168.1.193:8080
No⦠Not working !
After I entered the urn:schemas-micasaverde-com:device:AlarmPanel:1 on the device_type field (initial value was āgeneric_deviceā), the DSCIP100D was duplicated on the vera user interface.
Changing the port number to 8080 with that was not a solution to !
I tried several times and now I have 3 duplicated items of DSCIP100D that I cannot delete because the menu is no more accessible (key on top right corner) ???
You know how to clean that ?
I tried before that to set āthe controlled viaā to DSCIP100D but each time after that, the element was disappeared ???
should I uninstall the xml and json files ?
The initial duplicate meant that your Vera was in the process of replacing the original generic with the correct layout. You need to wait a little while and restart. The old one would have disappeared.
Do not uninstall the files. It causes an orphaned relationship.
I am not sure what state your system is in now but, leave the original 3 there. Maybe create another room and move them there and deal with them later.
Test the ip address in your browser with port 8080. Does the dialogue box appear and can you login locally. I suggest you then fix the ip address. You need to get this sorted first
Create a new device using the following information (ensure there is no spaces after the last character).
device_type = urn:schemas-micasaverde-com:device:AlarmPanel:1
Device_file = D_DSCIP100DAlarmPanel1.xml
Imp_file = I_DSCIP100DAlarmPanel1.xml
After the device is created, check that the layout is correct, somtimes this takes awhile. I just repeated this and it took 3 minutes. Noting the zones are created under devices.
I restore the factory default on the Vera and all the corrupted copy of DSCIP100D was disappeared⦠One problem at the time⦠![]()
After, I loaded the 7 files again and start the procedure exactly like you tell⦠the same behavior !!! ???
Note : The direct access to Envisalink is working with both ports 80 and 8080
The control tab only display āDevice settingsā and nothing else
The āconfigure nodeā and āpoll nowā buttons on the settings tab result with a ādelivery failedā message
Questions :
- I donāt see any field āusernameā and āpasswordā on the advanced field, is it normal or am I suppose to enter it in āNew Variableā, āNew Valueā fields ?
- Is it possible that the VeraLite react differently than Vera ? I download the last firmware.
:-\
Vera Lite should work without any problems
Some questions for you:
Have you manually added any other plugins, and can confirm they worked?
What browser type are you using to upload?
When you created the device, did you pay attention to case sensitivity for device and implementation file names? Also if you copied and pasted these, make sure you havenāt padded the start or end of the name with a space.
No plugin was installed. No Z-Wave device installed⦠The first action when I received my VeraLite was to try setting up the 2DS.
I used Google Chrome for the upload ??? Should I try another one ?
Yes⦠case sensitive (I cut and paste the config strings so !)
Nope, just wanted to make sure you didnt use IE as it has known issues with uploads.
Yes.. case sensitive (I cut and paste the config strings so !)And you are sure there were no spaces etc before or after in what you copied and pasted?
Sure !!! ;D
Iāve made a restore factory default and loaded the files with Safari⦠same thing append !
HELP !!! 8)
I will install it tonight on my VL and report back to verify it works, but Iām very confident it will! Iāll create a mini guide while Iām doing so with some screen grabs for you!
I think you are either doing something wrong somewhere, or your Vera doesnāt see your 2DS ![]()
I donāt know why it could not see it.
I had change the default password of the Envisalink but I put it back to the default that is āuserā⦠again, itās the same behavior ! ???
Thanks for your feedback !
Try another plugin like the weather plugin to see if you have the install procedure down!
I installed the Google Weather plugin and itās working fine ! :![]()
OK so I tested it with a blank Vera Lite running 1.5.254 and my 2DS, and can confirm it works.
Can you confirm which firmware your V.Lite is running?
Iāve attached some screenies of all I did to get it working.
I have the same firmware version.
I have made all the steps with Firefox (download, upload and device creation)⦠Same thing!
??? Weird no !
I will send you screenshot soon.
Thank you!
