Hello Everyone,
I am trying to setup my security system using PLEG. Basically I have 10 D/W sensors, a few lights that I want to turn on (for camera picture captures, this is done through the Camera’s settings if any of the 10 armed D/W sensors are tripped) and a siren.
I started out by creating a Vera scene that arms all of the 10 D/W sensors and arms the PLEG plugin that I am creating for my security system. I did it this way because I did not know how to incorporate this into the PLEG plugin…if anyone has done something similar, I am open to ideas, however I still want a way to turn on the security system manually, via my cell phone running Authomation HD.
The second thing I did was to create 10 separate PLEG triggers for all 10 armed D/W sensors. I then created a condition that "or"ed all 10 armed D/W sensors. The action I created for this was to turn on the lights close to my cameras and to turn on my siren, after 1 hr the siren and lights would turn off. I have notifications for all 10 D/W sensors that text my cell phone in case any of them trip while armed. If anyone has done anything similar, I am open to ideas or examples as well.
The third thing I did was to create 5 PLEG triggers to disarm the security system…however I am having issues with it. Basically, I have 3 door locks and 2 garage door sensors, I created 3 door lock triggers that become true when I enter in my door access code and I created 2 garage door sensor triggers that become true when they are tripped. The condition that I created for this was to “or” all 5 triggers, the action I created for this was to put this same PLEG plugin into bypass and to put all of the 10 D/W sensors into bypass. However, I have tried to do this and it does not work. This PLEG stays in armed and so do all of the 10 D/W sensors. I even put this condition at the top (before the one I created in the 2nd paragraph…but still, nothing
Can someone tell me what I am doing wrong here, I was under the impression that I can put this PLEG into bypass or armed within itself. Or, is there another way to do this that I can’t think of…Like I said, I would welcome any ideas or examples that any of you have.
