I had a lot better luck saving on an older firmware so I decided to downgrade to 1.7.10. No matter what I do when I go to the inputs and click the drop down all I see is rooms. I don’t see any devices. Any idea as to what the issue could be?
There is PLEG patch out there that works with the OLDER UI7.
They made a non backward compatible API change a few releases ago.
If you do not have a backup from that time … send me an emal and I can send you the file.
I find the latest UI7 releases to be better than the releases a few releases back.
But there are still serious problems … but they do not effect everyone.
I ended up going to 1.7.11 which worked.
With the largest release I could not save at all. On 1.7.11 I have to keep the changes small and wait around 2 minutes before I reload but at least I can make changes.

So you are saying it didn’t get bad all at once, rather its incrementally getting worse. Superb.

Yes, this is exactly my experience at least in regards to the LUA reboots. If I load a new firmware and restore from backup I sometimes see a big improvement in the reboots. Then over the next day or two the become more frequent.
I have had a ticket open with Vera since before the save or reboot issues were realized. My original complaint was that when running a scene that locks or unlocks multiple doors the system would become unstable and the locks would take a few minutes to respond with multiple retries necessary and sometimes failure to do the action. These were vera scenes so unrelated to PLEG issues. They only marginally improved that issue and blamed it on distance from the vera to the locks but the locks have no issue when controlling them one by one.
They ended up doing lots of stuff to try and fix the issue and in the process I started experiencing other issues including PLEG saving, LUA reboots and trouble including and excluding devices. They told me my storage was bad and I had to RMA the unit which I did. Over a month later with all issues still present I had to jump up and down screaming to get them to recognize that something on my vera is horribly wrong. Since then they have jump through some hoops for me and admit there is an issue they can’t explain. For the second time they are blaming this on bad blocks of storage on the unit. Now I have to do another RMA.
