PLEG and Null results

Has anyone found a workaround for PLEG conditions that result in NULL, or that contain a Trigger that has now become NULL ?

A once healthy PLEG environment dies instantly when a device fails within VERA and either get’s auto re-configured, or becomes unreachable because, say the battery has died. The properties in PLEG become NULL and the conditions then become NULL. Fair enough, but then there is no way of checking on the NULL state…send an alert etc. try a reconfigure etc. etc.

Any ideas ? I recall Richard was adding this to the no doubt endless list of requests a few years back.

Have you tried creating a condition where it looks for a variable to be null? Then you could create an Action that sends an alert when that condition is true.

Yeah, I’ve tried that - thing is there isn’t any Null checking built in within PLEG that I can find - or any routine that I can think of that would do it.
