Planning for 2nd evolve switch/dimmer install, and possibly shared neutral

The manual for the LSM-15 says that neutrals need to be separated to preserve integrity. Unfortunately, in one of my gang boxes, the existing dimmer switches does not have a neutral run to it. It simply has line and load. The other switch in the box, which is a recently installed LSM-15, does have a neutral, ground, line, and load. I have confirmed both the existing dimmer switch without neutral, and the recently installed evolve LSM-15, are on the same circuit. With this in mind, is it ok for me to install a new LRM-15 that shares the neutral with the existing LSM-15? Sine I won’t be having a shared neutral across 2 different circuits, I would think this is ok. I’m posing the same question to an electrician friend, but he does not have any experience with zwave dimmers.

I thought someone familiar with Evolve switches might answer, but since no one has, I’ll give it a shot. Others might be confused by your question mentioning “integrity”, like I was. The actual language (for the ZRW113) from the instructions says:

When used, AS101?s are required to be wired to the same line (or neutral)which is also wired to the master unit as well as the load being controlled, and not wired to any other neutral. If multiple neutrals are tied together in one box, separate the neutrals to preserve the integrity of the ZRW113 circuit.

Neutral wires typically land on the same bus in the load center (for non-GFCI/AFCI circuits). There was a good discussion about this earlier. From the directions, Evolve/ACT switches must be picky about this. I’m assuming that when they mention “multiple neutrals are tied together”, they are referring to neutrals from different circuits. I think that’s what they’re talking about separating. As long as the accessory switch you want to install is on the same circuit as the master (hot and neutral off of the same circuit breaker), it should work. Hopefully someone who has installed the Evolve switches can answer definitively.

Thank you for the detailed response. I’ll try to also have an electrician buddy stop by so I can pick his brain. When I know how it goes post-install I’ll update the thread so others know how it went.
