I have setup my iPhone’s number on the “Phone settings” screen but I never receive the verification text.
The following is copied from the “Phone settings” page:
For example, we can send text messages to an AT&T customer with the phone number 213-555-1234 by sending an email to: 213-555-1234@attmobiletext.com.
If the domain “@attmobiletext.com” is actually being used for AT&T accounts, that is wrong because it doesn’t exist. The correct domain for iPhone’s on AT&T’s system is:
@mms.att.net
There is also the domain @txt.att.net, but that doesn’t work with iPhone’s, only non-smart phones.
Also, there are no dashes in the phone number it should look like:
