I am very new to zwave and vera, and very overwhelmed, so please excuse me if this is a basic question.
Yesterday I received my Vera Edge (firmware 1.7.1181) and also :
2x philio tech 3in1 door window sensor (PST02-1C)
1x Aeon sirene (gen5)
I have added them all to Vera, but the door sensors do not work.
I see 4 devices for each sensor, generic IO, temp sensor, lux sensor and door sensor
The temp sensor works, the lux sensor doesn’t, the Generic IO has a battery status for only one sensor, and the door sensors do nothing at all.
On the physical sensor, I see a red LED when the door opens and closes, but nothing happens at all in the Vera interface.
Shouldn’t I see a status change like ‘Door opened’ ?
I also tried creating a scene to set off the siren, but obviously nothing is triggering so no alarm is sounding.
I do see on the dashboard alerts like this :
event N/A Success Generic IO Deur in room Eetplaats has been untripped. Gateway ID: 45102234 2015-06-16 20:23:57
but for the Generic IO there is no trigger called tripped/untripped inside the scene builder, only on or off, but this does nothing either.
Am I doing something wrong, misunderstanding the concept, or are these sensor just not supported inside Vera ?
(btw, I have excluded them and re-included them to make sure… but maybe I did something wrong).
I did watch the training videos, but nothing shows me how to work with these sensors, and what kind of behaviour to expect, so I’m in the dark.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
