Philio PAN04-1B status update too slow.....

Hi.

I have a philio pan04-1b model connected to a vera plus controller and a normal on/off wall switch my problem is that when
i turn the lights on/off from the wall switch i take more the 10 minutes to the controller to update the right status of the light
how can i fix this or how do i make the controller or the model update the status more often…?

Thank you.

That’s because the device does not support “Instant Status”
You are left to the polling interval.
You can lower the polling interval … but it’s not intuitive how to change it and changing it can make your system unstable.
(i.e. the polling interval of 5 minutes DOES NOT mean it will poll every 5 minutes)
If you really want to know that the switch was changed instantly you should get a switch that supports the instant status.

Philio has a manual here for the PAN04: http://zwavetaiwan.com.tw/control/filedownload.ashx?type=1&output=file&id=29

(No mention of a ‘1b’).

You might try making sure that you have an association setup in group 1 for the controller and that parameter 3 is setup to monitor the relay of interest. I’ve never used this device, so I have no direct experience, but maybe this would help.

BTW, Zipato has a better manual that may or may not be the same device: https://www.zipato.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/09/ph-pan04-Zipato-Micro-Module-Switch-Double-User-Manual-v1.4.pdf

Instant Status of Philio/Black Cat devices is currently being integrated by Vera.

I have no date of when this could be but they have all the information they require to implement. Perhaps by the next FW update?
Keep fingers crossed.

In the mean time you could contact CS, they managed to get the Black Cat’s working nearly instantly, but not quite.

In any event opening a ticket might hasten the integration.

“association setup in group 1 for the controller and that parameter 3 is setup to monitor the relay of interest”… can you explain more about this and how to do this…?
