I have a panasonc camera and I have to use a different port to make it accessible from the WAN.
Problem is that somehow the “port” configuration does not do anything.
The default port is 80 and I change it to 8888 but does not work at all.
Does the camera have its own built in webserver?
What is your firewall configuration? Have you double checked the correct ports are open?
If it has a built in webserver you’ll have to login in to its webserver and give it a static IP and check its options.
I have two Panasonic BL-C131A cameras. Can you provide us with more detail on your configuration settings for the camera and your router?
For my configuration, I gave both of them static ip addresses. I then configured my router to forward two different ports to the default port of 80 for each camera. For example: camera 1 which has an ip address of 198.192.0.50 is using port 80 on my internal network. On my router, I added a port forward from the internet using port 8080 to point to point to that camera’s internal ip address and port 80. When accessing my camera from the internet, I can then type: :8080 (e.g. http://209.52.1.100:8080). I then added a 2nd port forward on my router for camera 2 using port 8181 and pointed to camera’s internal ip address and port 80.
I am using a cisco router and I am supprised that you can point more than one device to port 80.
What kind of router do you use ? Did you connect to the Vera ports ?
i am not using the vera ports because I add the vera to the network and you Vera seems to not support this setup.

I am using an Airport Extreme. Vera is connected to one of the connections on the Airport. The cameras connect to the Airport (via wifi).
From the internet, neither camera can be accessed from port 80 (besides my ISP blocks that port). For example, camera’s 1 port forward from the internet is 8080 and camera 2 is 8181. So, I defined two port forwards.
Internet Port Static Local IP Address Local Port
8080 192.168.0.1 80
8181 192.168.0.2 80
Let me know if your router can do something similar.
Works great now ! Thank you for your hint. I did not know that you can port forward more than one port 80.
THANK YOU ! ;D
Your welcome. Glad I could help.
I just added a Panasonic camera, changed the port from 80 to 85 in the panasonic setup page, and then changed the IP address in Vera’s ‘+’ device settings to have an :85 at the end. And it worked fine. So Vera can use cameras with non-standard web ports
