When my Vera arrived, the small box (inside the shipping box) had jostled open a little bit, I think, and the WiFi antenna was rattling around loose inside the large box. And since it is white, among all the white packing peanuts, I almost missed finding it. FYI to your shipping department, maybe a taping the inside box closed would prevent this.

I finally received Vera.
My comment on packaging is concerning the z-wave dongle.
First, it scratched and looks… refurbished.
Second, it was in some seriously crumpled plastic bag - it looked appropriate if I got it on ebay for $3.
Guys, I hope it’s just one of the first orders, rush, etc - but if a real customer receives it in the same condition he may become very, very concerned.
I just unboxed my device and it seemed to be just fine. I will agree the zwave dongle did look a bit scratched up, though.
I think the reason the plastic bag was crumpled is because we receive the dongles and access point’s separately, and we remove each dongle and test it with each access point to be sure they’re both ok. We hired someone new to handle fulfillment, and he’s been really overworked, so he probably wasn’t as careful with it as he should have been. It shouldn’t have been scratched, though. I’ll talk to him to figure out why. It definitely was not refurbished.
I noticed by dongle seems to have a light-weight finish on it, so it’s possible that just a little scrape can make it look worn faster than normal.
