I’m just starting out with Vera Edge U17.

I’m struggling to setup the nodon wall switch within U17. Eventually I managed to add it through the generic device page, but its only found a single switch and I cant seem to read that.

Is there a ‘proper’ setup or integration guide somewhere?

Any help / advice gratefully appreciated.

Having said this, I’m still struggle with the Octan remote, which works in general but someting is still wrong with the right identification of the four switches.

Pressing switch 1 and 2 and then 1 for inclusing is not working. Pressing 1 and 2 and then 3 as mentioned in the nodon guide to sent “a single NIF” whaever that is results in detecting a device but not pairing. Vera get’s back in inclusion mode and after serveral try’s vera anserws that it can’t get into inclusion mode and I have to try in 1 minute ?

Anybody got and idea for this switch?

Try resetting the switch (hold 3 & 4 til the LEDs flash), then include again. I’ve got several of these (and nodon octan) switches and none of them included first time… they take a bit of messing around.

… then when it’s included, the real fun begins, they’re an absolute pig to work with if you want to use all 16 button options (single, double, hold & release x4)

Tried resetting the switch but when I hold 3 & 4 notting happens.
I’m begining to think the switch is malfunctioning from the start but I have it to long now to sent back.

All I want is 4 functions not even the 16 that it can do…

Anybody got an idea for a better switch with multiple funtions and preferbly about the same price?

I’m absolutely satisfied with the Minimote on UI5. Even the Nodon Octan works flawless with PLEG or alternatevely under AltUI and the Watch function.

I’m starting to think the problem is a defect in the Nodon switch.
Will order a new one the see if this is the case.

It’s odd that you’re getting some responses from the switch, and it can send zwave data to Vera. but you’re not able to successfully reset it with button 3 & 4. Not sure it would make a difference, but have you removed / reinserted the battery already?

Stating the obvious here, and at great risk of sounding patronising, but are you definitely using the right buttons to reset / include?

Out of interest, how did you setup your triggers / conditions in PLEG?

I have:

Trigger: tOctan1 - Scene 0 is activated.
Device Property: pOctan1_SID - LastSceneID
Condition(s): tOctan1 AND pOctan1_SID == 40

I’d not actually thought about using watches in AltUI… might be worth a try.

Yes even kept the battery out for more than a day to make sure everthing was reset.
I think I’ll sent it back to the distributor.

Device Prop: p1 / Octan / LastSceneID / 11
Condition: c1 / p1 == 10
Action: c1 / Immediate -1 / Office Light new TargetValue = 1

Problem: If LastSceneID is equal the new one, but a first double press on the remote solve it.

Hi guys,

I just got my two Nodon Wall switch, inclusion into the Veralite UI5 wasnt a problem but im not able to configure any scenes and apparently I need to set it to “Scene activation” with parameter 3 and value 1. When I do this in UI5 nothing really happens… if I hit “Configure node now” vera comes back with “unable to get any information on node”

If I do “poll now” then vera says “Node not configured”.

I have tried excluding and including a few times but nothing seems change. Has anyone else had this?
