I noticed that if I use the “local iphone option” that there is a “backdoor” not asking for any password.
The setup is (PC-Internet-Router_with_NAT-Vera) and on router port 3451 forward because of NAT.
I can get into the Vera iphone without any restrictions. I turned on user authentication required for all user but still the the same.
good point. Our assumption was people accessing the box outside the home would use the secure service, but, for users who want to do it with a port forward we should look into local authentication on port 3451. I’m not sure what other stuff this will break in the web ui, though, so we’ll fix some other things first: http://bugs.micasaverde.com/view.php?id=269
