I set up my Kwikset lock to send me a text when a “pin number is entered”. I use to get them, but I can not get them to work at all. Its sends me a text when someone pushes the “lock” button, but not one the door is unlocked. I have put it for “any” code, left it blank and I even made a notification for all 5 pin numbers I have, but wont send me anything.
I just want it to sent me a text every time some one enters a pin and unlocks my door. ???
Did anyone find out why the notifications do not work. Mine worked and now do not ???
One the main reasons I installed it was to find out who was going in and when and now all I am being told is when the door is opened and when it is closed.
I have checked the log tab and this is now empty whereas before it was not.
I am no located near to the lock at the moment so a remote solution would be appreciated.
Put me in the 'me too!" camp. I am not receiving notifications for any schlage lock events. I have opened a ticket with MCV, called and sent 2 emails over the course of 3 weeks without a response.

Yes, growl is an option; however, one of the features of Vera is notification support. Personally, I think the fact that Vera is so extensible is one of it’s market differentiators. That we ‘can’ use growl is a benefit of that extensibility. However, if Vera has native support for notification, I think that if issues exist, that they should be addressed. I like having the option of using alternative methods for functionality, however, I shouldn’t be required to use alternative methods if the primary feature set supports it.
Sorry to revive an old thread, but I seem to be experiencing this exact issue with a much newer firmware version: 1.5.408. Did this ever get fixed? Anybody have a resolution?
Every single possible trigger works with my Kwikset lock except for “a pin code is entered”. I’m currently dealing with this by using “door is locked or unlocked->door is opened” in lieu of “a pin code is entered”, but that means the lights turn on when somebody is manually unlocking the door to leave.
