I have invested a little in Nexia. so I have 2 Thermostat “Trane TZEMT400BB3NX N N SL Home Energy Management”, 2 Camers “Schlage WCO100NX N N SL Home Outdoor Cameras”, a controller, a Schlage lock, a few light switches and dimmers. and I am wondering if I get the veralite controller it would be compatible with all listed above…?. would I be able to do everything that I had been doing in Nexia…?. next to the monthly fee, what is the advantage of switching over micasaverde…?

If your devices are Z-Wave then they should work fine with Vera. But check out the, somewhat dated, supported hardware list.
Vera’s interface is a bit more “crude” than the polished Nexia. But the Vera’s capabilities to do custom programming and plugins as well as integrate disparate hardware is great! It’s also nice to have a fee free online/remote access portal, or operate completely cloud free if you wish. How many Nexia smartphone apps are there, Vera has at least six.
We’d need to know what you are doing with the Nexia in order to tell you if you can do the same with Vera, but I bet the answer is yes.
My question is; what about the Nexia is causing you to look elsewhere?
I checked the hardware list, but couldn’t find answer on Schlage WCO100NX cameras. all my listed devices are Z-wave so who can give me a clear cut answer on my compatibility question…?

I don’t mind the crude interface, what i am looking for is more reliability and expandability.
I had issues with cameras disconnecting even though they have excellent wifi range , alerts that are set not flexible enough. I wanted to get more device to control and receive alerts for. camera also has a two minute view window and then live view is terminated, you can press the button again and get 2 more minutes and so on. and the offered space for monthly $10 is ridiculously small.
with nexia, they have limited list of supported devices, I wanted to add water sensors, garage door opener. and irrigation switches.
Also mobile app in nexia is limited and don’t offer things like adding temporary user code for locks, unlock & lock, and finally but least concer is the monthly fee.
