Newbie...just some clarification

Picked up a VeraEdge mostly to control our thermostat remotely. …got everything link up and running with no issues.

Now I’m exploring other ways I would like to use it

A couple of questions…

I’m looking at a couple standard wall switches to control lights (non-dimming…non-3way) on 2 different wired circuits…about as basic as you can get. As best I can tell I need to purchase 2 ‘main’ switches? I see there are quiet a few on the market in the $35-$40 range. Any suggestions on with ones?

I also need advice on 4 20A wall switches. Each switch will be control 8 standard wall outlets that will have 8 arcade games on them. I would like to use a standard wall switch (manual on\off and z-wave). I see the Evolve LSM-20 is exactly what I’m looking for. But reading here there seems to be an issue with that manufacture switch failing. Are there any others (GE maybe?) out there that I just can’t find?

Thanks!

While I have had no problem recommending Evolve switches(made by Linear now Nortek, also branded 2Gig and GoControl). But, the LSM-20 is long discontinued and has been replaced by the LSM-15 which is only 15 Amps, so I’m not sure that you’ll find them outside of sketch sources.

I’m presently unaware of any 20 amp capable Z-Wave wall switches. There are some in wall relay modules, not switches, that can handle 20 amps. The GoControl FS20Z-1 Isolated Contact Fixture Module is a good example of this.

Thanks Z-wave! I did find that relay switch a while ago. I do like the ability to manually turn the switch on…which I don’t think this has.

Any idea why the 20A switch was discontinued? I found a place that I cn purchase them from…but don’t want to risks safety issue
Any idea why the 20A switch was discontinued?
For the same reason any and all devices are discontinued. Profit! Either greater profit or the lack there of.
