I have just set up my Plus, upgraded from my Vera 3. Most things seem to be working, but I have this error message Zigbee: Failed to start. It does come back even after rebooting. I have no Zigbee devices yet. I also have Foscam HD kitchen : Startup Lua failed, but I have a picture of the camera in my device so it seems to work
Then , it seems that you go where no one has gone before.Into Vera’s new territory Zigbee and bluetooth device. I tried some bluetooth devices that was recognized well but failed to confire. So did.t work.
Nice launch into the orbit of smarthome.
Old ground MicAsaVerde was by far a good station.
I migrated from veralite UI5 to Veraplus and I got the same error: Zigbee: Failed to start >:(
Everything else is working fine (PLEG, Antor Thermostat, Rfxtrx plugin…) I had to exclude and include again some of the battery powered modules. UI7 interface is great but it has some stability issues. It is causing the browser to crash from time to time.
It seems that the zigbee error is a software bug because after i did a factory reset, the Zigbee chip started to work. But after loading the backup file, the problem appeared again. I escalated this problem to the support. I will keep you posted
Try this procedure for battery operated devices that aren’t working properly after the upgrade.
I was able to get mine working using the following voodoo magic strategy for each battery powered device:
- Go to Settings for a battery powered device.
- Change Automatically Configure to yes
This will cause Vera to Reload - While it’s reloading I play with the battery powered device … getting Vera to notice it.
- About a minute later it’s configured.
Yep Me to sent a rtequest to Tech support, still waiting to here back.
Wish they would hurry all the bulbs in my house are GE bulbs and run on Zigbee
Ill keep you updated if I get an answer.
Thanks
Mick

Mick, I see that your Customer Care ticket is being worked on.
Go ahead and try the GE bulbs. We have tested them and they should work fine. Let me know if they don’t.

I too restored from a backup and am now getting “ZigBee: Failed to Start”
Seems to be more and more units, I am sure its a software bug.
Vera being new its a pain but im sure they are working like crazy to sort it out.
Guess like anything new just needs a little bit of time.
Thanks
Mick
