I just got the new Vera Edge 2 days ago and set it up with a few appliance switches (2 Aeon Smart, 1 GE outdoor).
I activated the Energy tab, which installed the Ergy plugin, but when I click on the Energy tab all I get is this error:
Could not find gateway from: SerialNumber: xxxxxxxx
When tech support was trying to fix my VeraEdge, I saw all sorts of stuff on their dashboard…they have packages for security, energy, etc. coming I’m sure of it.
Ergy is the service but they won’t let you sign up directly…it has to come from Vera
Support got back with me. Usb issue should be in update end of week. Far as engery issue vera support started a case with engery support and said will let me know. Will post if get a answer.
Ergy states on their website that their plug in is currently not operable and they are not allowing new signups at this time. They have an add email option to notify when it is working again. I can confirm that with vera edge I get the same result and on UI7 on my Veralite while it works initially is just constantly restarts my controller and had to be removed. It bricked my veralite several times requiring a firmware reset. I have had nothing but problems with this feature as MCV points finger at ergy and ergy points finger at MCV. Expect that response from MCV support, while it is a tab within the UI it is driving by a plugin created by an outside vendor. They treat it no different that any other plug in created by any other developer which is BS since they have made it part of the firmware so they should shoulder more responsibility.
Hello. I see that the energy tab is doing the same thing on my veralite. I have noticed other members of the forum were able to post pictures of energy graphs with a smart switch. Is that part of the energy tab in the older UI’s? I can’t find anywhere that will show me a graph. If this is a limitation of UI7, is it possible to roll back to an old OS?
I’m only a week in to this, I apologize if I sound naive.
Support got mine working on the vera edge, it is a bit buggy but the app has also not been updated since feb so hopefully ergy will update the app in the near future. Firmware 1.7.906.

It looks like the latest firmware has made some change, now I’m seeing a different error:
Key does not match ErgyKey: xxxxx
Anyone else having more luck?
I get the same ErgyKey error on veraedge
removing the “ERGY Plugin” and re-accepting it on the energy tab seems to have corrected issue
This tab is not working for me. I bought an Aeon Labs HEM and I entered the cost per KWH in settings. I see nothing under the energy tab. Occasionally, I’ll see the outline of a box that says "retrieving"but nothing ever populates. I have seen a message that says something like “it’s taking too long to retrieve data, what do you want to do” with options to reload or cancel. None of the options do anything. I submitted a trouble ticket but have not heard back. Has anybody seen any real usefulness from UI7’s energy settings?
If anybody has made The Vera Lite work as advertised I’d like to hear about it. Both products look good on paper but the proof is in the pudding so to speak. Obviously Vera support guys are over their head and need to take stock on getting the basic Apps like Energy and what ever else is second working out of the box.
Vera Lite UI7 Energy Tabs are useless until somebody delivers an App for the neat $25 Aeon Labs DSB09104-ZWUS - Z-Wave Smart Energy Meter. That solution would be a best seller when supported with a YouTube how-to video.
