I have been trying for a few days to get Vera to send my cell phone a text message so I can validate it. I have US Cellular but it will not send a text. Anyone run into this issue at all? If so, anyway to fix it?

I had the same problem although I’m not sure it’s caused by the same thing. I found that I had to actually save the changes at the bottom of the page and then go back into the page and try to have a text sent again. In other words, if you setup a new user and enter the phone number and then attempt to have a txt message sent, it didn’t work. It wasn’t until I went to the bottom of the page and saved the changes and then came back into the page and tried again that I actually got a text.
It’s really bad that the SW isn’t better than that.
I was using UI7.

This didnt fix it. Still having the same problem. Have been trying to call support but keep going thru to an answer machine (that’s not normal is it )… i don’t think I am receiving email alerts either. The door lock was activiated today and I have alerts on the dashboard but didnt receive an email.
OK, this is fixed… I changed the country code on my mobile telephone number from US to another random country. Saved. Reset it back to US, re-added my phone number. Saved. Now works. Very random. :
For me, it was jut a matter of saving it before sending the activation code… that it not at all obvious. Maybe you found other dependencies.
The SW definitely needs some polishing, it’s too rough for basic tasks like that.

Easy we just dont post anymore questions and let it die a slow death. Lol
I am having a similar problem, the fields for number and phone provider get set back to empty after I save and go out and come back in, so no matter what I do it thinks there is no phone provider/number and cannot send a validation code so fails every time.
This is on a second user I set up, the first user took several attempts to type in the number and get it to save of which I had to do it just right for it to save.
Also the user account info address is not working either I have entered that several times and it always fails to save I get some error message that tells me to it failed to update and to please try again later, every time I click save.
This interface seems quite buggy for these things, basic simple things.

Is this on a MAC? What browser are you using?
Hi I’m new, but having a similar problem. When I try to activate my phone using SMS I get a text message, but there is no activation code in the message. It just says:
