Hi Jimmy, welcome to the forums.
Sounds like you really want to control and monitor a vast assortment of categories remotely. I suggest a Vera for the automation portion and separate security system for the security portion and a SVR (Security Video Recorder) with IP cameras for the Video portion.
I also recommend you get the security portion and whatever other products allow you to hard wire them, hard wired to their control panel so wireless and batteries are not a potential problem.
The good news these days is all of these products can be tied into your Vera or control tablets.
I recommend these products.
Vera +
DSC 1864 (recommend hard wired to whatever sensors you are using)
Envisalink
SVR and IP cameras (too many brands and options to get into but you can contact us is you want to know specifics.)
Z-Wave Thermostat
Telguard Garage door sub controller
Harmony Home Hub for AV equipment
Security System Monitoring (Do not pay over 9$ a month. Contact us if you have questions.)
Failover Router with Wireless WAN (internet) backup
I hope this helps. We do these systems on a regular basis. Contact us if you have any questions.

Life safety services/features/functions should only be carried out by life safety rated products. You may get equal performance out of a DIY and or non-life-safety rated products. Or you may not.
