New Firmware 1.7.583
MCV Concept of modes works for the VERY basic lifestyle.

For many others there are lots of other modes and they are not orthoganal (Vera Has 4 modes and they are orhoganal).

For me I would WANT NIGHT and AWAY to be active at the same time … it’s different than DAY and AWAY!

If the basics modes do not work for you … I suggest using a MULTI - SWITCH to hold your modes.
For modes that are binary … you can use a single multi-switch … for modes that have more than two mutually exclusive options you can use the RADIO-BUTTON aspect of the MULTI - SWITCH.

Examples of more complex Mode
Occupancy (Single, MrAndMrs, Family, Party)

My Day Or Night plugin provides and automated mode of knowing if it’s Light Outside or Dark Outside (suited to your own needs relative to sunrise and sunset)

Multi-Switch and PLEG will allow you to have sophisticated Automation Logic.
I will look at that

Thanks

I thought I would give this upgrade a shot as I have not read anything bad yet. But when I click on the “Upgrade” button nothing happens.

It’s a sign… LOL

Do you have mimomotes or other remote controllers? Those seem to be the biggest thing to get broken on this update. I don’t have any remotes and haven’t noticed any issues.

I do in fact have a single Minimote that is working well, first I hear any reports on this version causing issues, can you elaborate on what you heard.

A search would help, but since the last update came out there has been a bunch of people complaining.

Looks like you should stay where you are unless you don’t use that minimote.

Hi, i also have the problem when try to make an associations. With new or existing groups when i use the set button it says undefined. Any solution for this problem?? I restore an old backup and it continue to show the undefined message. Plese help!!

I dealt with the same problem a lot of the day today. Almost any change to associations will cause the entire thing to no longer display nodes. Instead all I get is text that reads “undefined.”

I put in a support Email, but Vera support is understandably overwhelmed. I called support directly; Development is “working on a solution” to the Minimote problem.

So is there any safe way to do associations with the Vera on the latest Firmware? Sounds like it does bad things (which is sad considering associations were already pretty dicey before the latest firmware).

Can any one outline the procedures for doing it from the advanced variables tab, and is that more reliable?
Is there an order you are suppose to do it in? The three variables to my knowledge are:
ConfiguredAssoc (group,id)
AssociationSet (group,id)
AssociationGet (group,id,

Normally I would just use the MiniMote to do it… but it is unclear if it is trust worthy now to use for that, and I have one sensor that needs to be in group 2 which the minimote doesn’t support setting up (only does group 1).

Don’t want to go back to the old firmware as my Vera actually crashes a lot less on the new firmware. Just want to keep plugging away on some new devices that need association.

Alright I gave up and went back to 7.0.5. Too many bugs accumulating between 7.0.6 and 7.0.7. All my associations are back to normal. Scene assignments to my various scene controllers are back to normal. I upgraded to try to address a strange bug which would wipe out my virtual devices when setting user associations but things just went from bad to worse.

my unit keeps rebooting (luup) after updating to 1.7.583
Support does not answer my tickets (too many issues?)
Does someone have the link to the previous firmware?

Hi,

Please fill out the form below to send us a trouble ticket, as I couldn’t find one for your email in our ticketing system :
http://support.getvera.com/customer/portal/emails/new

Be sure to include your Vera unit serial number and the tech support access code. You can enable it by going to Settings > Tech Support and then clicking on the Enable button at the bottom of the page. We’ll look into it right away and get back to you shortly.

Thanks.
