Woke up this morning to my unit offering a new firmware. Still waiting for the change log…

I’ve installed it… it installed without issue…
still looking for things that are new or fixed…
I just upgraded to 1.7.583 as well.
Now my Zwave.ME secure wall controllers are recognized as such (not Generic IO anymore).
The only problem is that I cannot creatie association groups anymore.
After creating a new group and clicking “SET” to add devices to the group, I get the error message “undefined”.
Anyone else on the latest firmware with this same problem?

I’ve also upgraded. Temperature sensor icons are displaying normally here.
I only notice the light switche icons are flipped. Some lights that are on have a grey icon, some lights that are off have a yellow icon.

I hope more problems were fixed then were created.
Temperature sensor seems to be working. Also noted the Lux unit for the light sensor. No fix for the vision/monoprice movement detector staying tripped though according to the release note… A bit disappointing if such is the case.
Danfoss TRVs seem to be working now. Changing the temp on the unit does not propagate instantly to Vera line it does in UI5 but it does get there eventually.
Have noticed 3 things since my upgrade.
- Can no longer add users to notify in the Notifications screen for a device. It doesn’t give you an option to select which users to notify. Have to go to Scenes to add users to notify now.
- Linear GD00Z icon no longer displays in Devices or Dashboard screen. Have to go into the specific device to see icons. Sad thing is the icon was working correctly in the last firmware version.
- Lua seems to restart more often now.
I even tried to reset my VeraLite to factory default and rebuild all the devices but, get the same results.
My upgrade failed, said to contact Tech Support… Tried 3-4 times, with rebooting of VERA. Now waiting on email back…
I had to contact support in the past. Tried this latest upgrade, it failed too (flashing orange light). Before calling support, I remember (last time) asking the support guy what he did to get the upgrade to “work”. He said he cleared out some files… If we try to do this, we run the risk of becoming “unsupported” apparently, so be careful. When in doubt, just call support.
At any rate, I got into my Vera as root, and removed all my DataMine files (I removed the app a while back). The /overlay partition is used for the upgrade, and is VERY tight.
The upgrade succeeded after I cleared out some space removing the DataMine directory from /overlay.

Hmm, I spoke too soon, Vera still seems to ignore the wakeups.
I can confirm Vision/Monoprice PIR sensors still do not untrip. Well, actually they do, but they immediately retrip and stay tripped. I have again contacted Vera Support on this.
Hi, i also have the problem when try to make an associations. With new or existing groups when i use the set button it says undefined.
Any solution for this problem??
I restore an old backup and it continue to show the undefined message.

My thermostat now has 4 options on the dashboard off/auto/cool/heat. Can we get an option for fan on and auto.
Also the Modes need more options. I need a winter and summer as I’m sure I’m not the only one who has a HVAC, lighting or lawn sprinkler or pool scene that it would be nice to be able to shift over to a winter and summer mode. Or the ability to rename the modes and or add additional would work too.

Modes would work, but if you don’t end up getting that advanced scenes work better. PLEG for example can do much more then just winter and summer. Since I’m in California and we don’t really have a “winter” basing stuff of outside current, past and predicted weather works better then just winter or summer schedule.
MCV Concept of modes works for the VERY basic lifestyle.
For many others there are lots of other modes and they are not orthoganal (Vera Has 4 modes and they are orhoganal).
For me I would WANT NIGHT and AWAY to be active at the same time … it’s different than DAY and AWAY!
If the basics modes do not work for you … I suggest using a MULTI - SWITCH to hold your modes.
For modes that are binary … you can use a single multi-switch … for modes that have more than two mutually exclusive options you can use the RADIO-BUTTON aspect of the MULTI - SWITCH.
Examples of more complex Mode
Occupancy (Single, MrAndMrs, Family, Party)
My Day Or Night plugin provides and automated mode of knowing if it’s Light Outside or Dark Outside (suited to your own needs relative to sunrise and sunset)
Multi-Switch and PLEG will allow you to have sophisticated Automation Logic.
