Need help with ONVIF IP camera setup in vera (H264)

Need help setting up ONVIF Aoshidi IP camera(720p) integaring to Vera. I have tried lot’s of combinations with no luck. Followed “Silencery’s” post “http://forum.micasaverde.com/index.php/topic,15701.msg123207.html#msg123207” and setup up the camera.

Camera ONVIF port is 8899 and it’s working fine in Synology.
Camera does not have JPEG only H264. I tried iSPY to find the ONVIF snapshot URL with no luck

Camera Details:
Aoshidi AD-IP-7202MP
ONVIF port : 8899
HTTP: 80
Media Port : 34567
Version : V4.02.R12.00006510.10010
Buiild Date : 2014-04-04 14:01:17

I have tried following in vera with no luck.

Apps >> Develop Apps >> Create device.
Description field : Test Camera
Upnp Device Filename field enter D_DigitalSecurityCamera1.xml (tried D_DigitalSecurityCamera2.xml also)
IP : 192.168.x.x:8899
URL f: onvif/media_service/snapshot (also tried /onvif/media_service/snapshot?channel=1&subtype=0)
DirectStreamingURL - /nphMotionJpeg?Resolution=640x480&Quality=Clarity

Vera does not support onvif or H264 streams. You will need a camera that supports jpeg streams or software that will support jpeg / mpeg.

Is there any workaround for H264?

Option 1: research of your camera’s secondary channel can output MJPEG stream or JPEG stills. If so, use those instead.

Option 2: Scare up a spare Windows machine with Win7 or better. Install the Blue Iris camera software on it and set you camera up in there. It will talk to Vera via the BlueIris plugin.

No luck with secondary channel. Secondary channel is also outputs only H264. :frowning:

I have just purchased two for these cameras… And I have Blue Iris. But this camera is not listed in blue iris camera database and when blue iris tries to find it, it shows RTSP port detectd and then RTSP error 451… Any ideas?

Hi daveingeb, This camera is working fine with BlueIris plugin. You need to select camera model as “IPC H.264 port 34567” from drop down menu in Blue Iris setup.

This solution also works for this NoName camera from Newfrog. (Warning, although it says so, it does not appear to have WiFi)
