I am hoping you can point me in the right direction… I have a bunch of speakers which use DNLA in Vera, they work fine everyday APART from one thing… Every few days the DNLA address randomly changes the port which is uses for the stream. Every time it does it I go back in and discover and then reselect the same device and it goes from Offline to No Media.
So Lets assume the device is Called Kitchen, I need to do a discover and then select the device called kitchen. I would plan to fir this as a scene every time the device goes offline.
The Devices are Jongo S3 if anyone else is using them, they are like Sonos but with the added benefit of Bluetooth and a neat little bit of speaker grouping technology called Caskeid. I have 16 of them so would love it if anyone could help.
That worked perfectly thanks mda, I ended up installing the uPNP Proxy Service to get the command working properly, also a very strange thing was the Jongo S3 even though has a completely different network name would only detect when putting the Selected DMR Name which is completely separate to the network name or the device name. Once again thanks to everyone who helped.
lolodomo suggested I use this with the DLNA plug in to solve a similar problem and it works:
luup.call_action(“urn:dlna-org:serviceId:DLNAMediaController1”, “SearchAndSelectDMRDevice”, {Name= “renderer_name_goes_here”, IP= “renderer_IP_goes_here”}, dlna_device_number_goes_here)
I do apologize in advance for my ignorance. Where exactly would I put the code?
You could put it in the Luup tab of the scene that uses the DLNA device or in a scene with a schedule that runs every few minutes to check if the renderer is offline, depending on your needs and when you experience the problem.

Thank you.
