Onkyo’s New firmware specifically adresses the incompatabilities with Vera Lite. It took a while but HOORAY!
From Onkyo Update Bulletin:
Latest Firmware Version: 1141-1700-0010-9107
The 10/18/2013 update will address the following: UPDATE AVAILABLE ONLY via USB (US ONLY)
- Corrects lock up failure when using MiCasaVerde Vera Lite controller on the same network
