Need a new forum Thread on Robotics and Z-Wave

Would be nice

Would also be nice if there were any robotic z-wave things.

While I love what z-wave can do for me (mostly control lights and thermostats) I am underwhelmed by the creativity of the current developers of z-wave hardware.

While not technically robotic, I am using an Everspring flood sensor as an air pressure sensor. If the air pressure in the plant drops below 50psi vera automatically shuts down some of the machinery that uses compressed air. I am also going to set up a sensor on the boiler to keep an eye on steam pressure, and one monitoring waste water processes. I am also using a Fortrezz water valve to take regular waste water samples. Although vera and z-wave in general is not designed to handle robotics, some simple tasks can be achieved with a little hackery. BTW if you are interested in robotics I suggest checking out PLC’s (programmable logic controller), with a bit of a learning curve in the programming some real robotics can be achieved.
