Hi All,

Just a quick question. When I purchase a new device and include it into my vera 3 router it comes up with something like:

_smartSwithEnergyMeter 0r smart_switch_Energy

I understand from a *nix point of view that white spaces are not necessarily a good thing hence the underscore _

However, instead of “smart_switch_Energy” I prefer “The friggin Light”

Is their any issues with plain text name changes to devices or is the naming convention their for a reason.

I assume that a name change will filter down to all scenes, etc that already incorporates the said named device

Yes, under the hood vera will associate with the device id or node id.
