Mystery device - how to get rid of ?

Today is the day to clear up some issues i thought.
This device has appeared a few days ago. It called itself 1. And it is controlled by my ipod bluetooth device. Which is just a Everspring on/off, called ipod bluetooth. I have got no idea where this came from and why it is there. My ipod bluetooth has existed for a few months without it, and out of the blue this came up. As i did not create it, i deleted it. It came back. I tried the myveraip:3480/data_request?id=device&action=delete&device=, got 404 - not found.
Vera does come up with some unexpected surprises at times…

I know this is an old post… But;

I tried to add an ACTi IP camera yesterday, Vera said it installed but… it never showed up…

Today I see I have 2 new “Unknown” devices (Neither look like an IP camera)

So, doing a search here for “delete unknown” device, got me to this lone post…and,

http://MY_VERA_IP:3480/data_request?id=device&action=delete&device=80
and the above with =81

took both of them out… Clicking on the device trashcan just came back with “invalid Plugin” and would not delete it.

Another VERA URL to add to my notes :slight_smile:

Vera does this when it sees a new device (MAC ID) request an IP address from the DHCP server.
If it thinks its something it should be interested in … it creates a device for it.
Clearly there are a lot of false identifications.
