My VeraLite recently dies and had to be replaced with a new VeraEdge. I am now in the process of excluding and then re-including all of my devices. But I’m struggling a bit with my garage door opener. It is a Chamberlain unit with the MyQ option. I installed the PlugIn, went to myQ setup, chose Chamberlain for the brand, and updated with my username and password. But now what? It doesn’t seem to do anything, nor can I control the door.
At the bottom of the myQ setup page it says username not configured and password not configured, even though I did add them and they appear above. When I click “Update” the blue bar appears at the top saying “Please wait…re-initializing myQ”. But nothing ever happens.
I personally gave up on it, ended up getting a Wink hub and using the Wink interface plugin. Seems the support for the plugin is gone. MyQ works natively with Wink.
A quick foray into the forum search brings up this solution.
Thanks BOFH! I was searching today and actually found another post with a .lua file that is supposed to fix it (same file I assume). I will try it tomorrow when I get home. Will update post then.
Ran that updated .lua file and all is good!!!
Thank you Vera Support and Forum members for all the help.
Now on to fixing the alarm panel!
Using Vera Edge, UI7, and Chamberlain garage units with the MyQ plugin results in the no garage doors found error if your MyChamberlain account contains linked accounts, e.g. Linked to Nest.
The json file returned to the plugin from Chamberlain will contain data about these linked accounts and the plugin doesn’t know how to handle it.
Deleting the linked accounts from the native Chamberlain MyQ app fixed my issues with the plugin not seeing my doors.
Thanks fah3! Unlinking my Nest account in the Chamberlain myQ app resolved my authentication issue in Vera.
