Does anyone know why the MyQ Gateway plugin is no longer listed in the Mios app store???
Did you search for MyQGateway? Plugin ID is 7386
I sent you a PM…I keep getting “Startup LUA failed”…its driving me crazy!!..I havent changed anything, its been working for over a year now
Ok…so it finally showed up…strange because when I was in the MIOs app store when I couldn’t find it, there were only like 14 pages of choices. Now theres like 34 and I found it. However now that I have installed it, it is not creating the child device. And yes I have gone through the MyQ setup and enetred the credentials, only it is still saying that username is not entered as well as the password. ??? In the Vera message area even after refreshing the page, it seems to be hung up with this message, " MyQ Gateway : Please wait…Re-initializing myQ."
It hasn’t been working for me for about 2 days now. However, the standalone myq app is working, so I know it has something to do with Vera.
If anyone has any ideas, here is a snippet of the log with the failure…looks like trouble parsing the file.
Unfortunately the plugin was redesigned and I have no way of determining the issue. Although it seems after a recent outage at the MyQ server, issues have started…
Thats what it seems like. That was my first gut instinct anyway…the call function for init fails. I’ll leave everything intact and I created a support ticket…It could also very well be a problem with the MyQ servers.
As I just posted in the other thread. My MyQ plugin also has a last auth time yesterday (Thursday) at 18:07. The child device is still there but does not open/close the door nor does it change door status if I use my GDC1 to open/close the door.
Since the MyQ plugin is based on re-engineered info and not supported and actually frowned on by MyQ (Chamberlain/Liftmaster) I doubt you’ll get much help from them.
Luckily I have the Telguard GDC1 opener that talks directly to Vera.
Well I just spoke with a MyQ tech and he hasn’t found any issues with the servers on MyQ Chamberlain side or the Craftsman Assurelink side, they are the ones serving up the craftsman assurelink now, however they can’t provide any support for the assurelink devices after 90 days per contract with Sears. I have a friend that has a MyQ Chamberlain gateway installed and he doesn’t have this problem currently with his Vera lite running the plugin. I think i’m just going to break down and buy a MyQ Chamberlain Internet Gateway online and install it instead. The tech also told me that they have far more redundant servers in service than the Craftsman Assurelink side. Which makes me feel alot better…lolol
Both of my veras (vera 3 and veralite) at two different locations are no longer working with the MyQ Gateway Plugin. Something must have changed with the MyQ authentication as both of mine failed at the same time Thursday at 6:07pm.
Sounds about right. Gotta ask though, are they Craftsman branded?
Chamberlain branded doors with Chamberlain CIGBU MYQ Internet Gateways.
Well then it Sounds like something could have possibly changed with the authentication method to the servers. I don’t want to make any more assumptions until I get some hard evidence of exactly what’s going on. I’ll keep on posting with findings to this topic until we find a solution.
Well, looks like Chamberlain just released a new Android App for the MyQ today (version 3.2). But, all it states is “Bug Fixes”.
Just tried the Assurelink app on my Android which hasn’t been updated. It finds the door and is able to open and close it.
Checked the playstore, no update available for it.
As I have my GDC1, I guess it may be time to delete the MyQ plugin as I’m rarely using it anymore. I left it installed as it was already there and as a backup.
I think this was an update Tim. However you might be right. They could have made some changes that affect authentication. But that doesn’t explain why my Craftsman Assurelink door not working with the Vera plugin. The tech from MyQ told me that the sears assurelink servers are handled by them but they don’t make the same changes and updates to the assurelink server that they do to their own servers…then again he could’ve been full of s#$%. He didn’t sound like an upper level tech.
I looked into the GDC1 and it sounds like a great alternative to pulling the plug to server hopping and authentications. Are they readily available for sales and distribution or is it still under beta? Found one on eBay for $100.
Man that sucks, was really enjoying using Tasker and the MyQ Plugin. Not gonna give up on it yet, however alternatives are in my interest too. ![]()
Just want to throw this out there in case some people want a work around to get your MyQ doors back into Vera. You can download the Wink app, create an account, add your MyQ credentials then install the Wink Connect plug-in to get your garage doors back. I haven’t seen a noticeable lag by using my doors this way. According to Marc at Vera they should have a built-in MyQ solution soon, so this may just tide you over till then and save you some $$.
