My vera3 do not send emails for me

Now is time to program my events to warning me in my email when the things happens in my home.

I discover my vera do not send emails for me.

All is set up but the emails do not arrive.

Someone knows about this ?

I opened ticket in mcv without success.

Complete newbie here so not sure I will be much help, but I set up my veralite only mins ago and it asked my email address when I set up my acct. It then sent me an email which I needed to open and click on the link inside to confirm my email address. Did you do this?

did you install the email app from the app store? i would suggest you do that. it is much better and you can use your own SMTP server so that you are not depending on VERA server

Since my first contact with vera I have putted my informations.
email and anothers data. but never I receive the code and the emails from my events.

is something wrong.

If you have an Android Phone … Skip the email and go with Vera Alerts.

There is the Prowl and Push plugins.
Or you can use the SMTP Plugin …

(Actually Vera Alerts can do the same as the SMTP plugin, put each has some different capabilities).

I will try prowl because I have installed smtp but I can not find a guide to insert my email account and in devices I can not locate ir.

My limitation even.

Micasaverde Support talks to me to create a gmail account.
I have created and my vera does not send emails for me from notification.

I go in device, select noficitations, put a condition “when a device is turned on” i.e. and check the user I created with gmail account.

nothing happens.

I had this issue yesterday, I opened a ticket with MCV and enabled tech support within my vera.
They managed to fix it remotely (don’t really know what they did but the problem started when I upgraded to the latest firmware (1.5.622)

Its a shame you can’t use vera alerts (I tried that as an alternative while I got a response from MCV) loved it better then the email notifications. Great app kudos to the developer.
